As a postdoctoral fellow

What we look for…

We are always seeking for motivated postdocs with interest in RNA biology, viruses and/or cancer with proven research skills. We are a highly dynamic team that frequently engages in exciting multidisciplinary collaborations inside and outside our group. Our view is that there is nothing impossible, it is just that no one found the way (yet) to do it. If you feel identified with such research style, then the Castello lab will be an excellent match.

What you can learn…

We carry out cutting-edge research in RNA biology and virology and collaborate with other labs with complementary expertise. Through co-supervision or/and collaboration, researchers in the Castello lab are exposed to different research disciplines, including RNA biology, virology, proteomics, genomics, fluorescence microscopy, electron microscopy and computational biology. There are continuous opportunities to develop new scientific, writing, supervision and communication skills.

What you can do…

We offer funded postdoctoral positions, when available, at the Biochemistry website.  We are also happy to advise and support outstanding candidates in their applications to postdoctoral fellowships. Some of the most desirable fellowships are Marie Sklodowska-Curie, EMBO long-term fellowship, Newton International Fellowship and Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowship. We can also explore fellowships from the candidate’s home country.
